On Plants is a synesthetic space created of multilingual types and various fonts. The types that are reconstructed between spaces and non-spaces are recognised as perpetually circulating texts. On Plantsvisualises the landscape as circulation through a circular structure with light and sound; it provokes the creation of a new strolling space in On Plants.
On Plants is a synesthetic space created of Type Forest and Variable Type Show. Type Forest is a work in which nine different types (Latin, Cyrillic, Arab, Thai, Hebrew, Devanagari, Chinese, Kana, and Hangeul) conjugate and become a harmonious forest. By representing multilingual letters related to the forest, a unique landscape is created where the world’s alphabets break their boundaries and coexist as a singular unit. A Variable Type Show presents a film of variable fonts, evolved form an axis that allows users to adjust the thickness, width, and visual elements. Visitors can enjoy the film through sight and sound while sitting in bean bag chairs placed inside the On Plants.
